WHEN THE TEACHERS GO HOME-

Learning stops in rural Ethiopia!  IAfter school in some places ssstudents use cloud computing, educational software, learning games, videos, and websites to get ready for their future.  Its different in rural Ethiopia. Students have no computers, have no internet, and have primitvie or no libraries.  Many do not even have electric lights to study at home or in school.  They have the same high stake tests to pass as the more modern parts of Ethiopia and the rest of the world.  They can do it with a litle help

YOU CAN MAKE THE DIFFERENCE -

Start with the Ethiopian curriculum they use in school and are familiar with.  Add modern open source content that covers the same subjects.  Inlcude interactive exercises used around the world.  Include science lab simulation software for those schools withour functioning scence laboratories. Package this on a low cost microserver that gives students access even when thteir teachers go home after school.  Add 30 chrome books and call it an Ethiopian Learning Lab.  That's what we did.

The best part this is all selected for use in rural Ethiopia.  When the power goes out learning keeps going.  And the power is "always going out".  All this is battery powered and w illcontinue opertin got up to 8 hours. or more.  And it costs less than $1.00 per month per student.
